Elder Law

Elder Law is a relatively new legal field and includes consultation regarding Medicaid eligibility and applications.  This is a field in which the law has changed rapidly in recent years.  On occasion an "Income Cap Trust"  will be necessary and must be prepared before an application f or Medicaid benefits will be accepted.

Elder Abuse, both financial and physical, is also part of Elder Law.  The Elder Abuse laws are generally statutory in nature and apply to individuals 65 years or older.
